AbleNet curriculum, software, and technology products serve the complete spectrum of students with disabilities—at all grade levels—who experience mild, moderate, or severe disabilities.

To that end, we have aligned our entire offering to state standards and IEP requirements. Our strategic partnerships with nationally-recognized researchers and curriculum writers enable us to provide effective instructional programs and tools for 21st century special education classrooms.

Administrators across the country are committed to programs and technology that can demonstrate visible student outcomes while meeting the accountability expectations of IDEA and NCLB. Weekly Reader AbleNet Editions

Weekly Reader AbleNet Edition
“I really feel that every special education teacher and their students could benefit from the Weekly Reader AbleNet Edition subscription. The adaptions and teacher lesson plan ideas are so well thought out and focus on presenting curriculum that all students can truly be engaged and have successful experiences. Our state of Florida has recently developed access points to the State Standards for all content areas to align with the alternate assessment that our students are required to take. The Weekly Reader is one of the few tools that I have seen on the market that is teacher-friendly and provides what is needed to give our students a more rigorous curriculum.”
–Gayle Zavala, 2009 Clarissa Hug National Teacher of the Year.

Splash Extended School Year

Splash - Extended School Year
“The Splash materials are really well liked by both the teachers and students. The use of the Splash demo CD with the Smart Board has proven to be a great tool. The teachers use it to do a whole group read-a-loud before breaking the students into smaller groups based on ability levels. Another winner from AbleNet!”
–Marcia Cacaci, Technology Coordinator - New York City Schools P811K

Big Books by George AbleNet Editions

Big Books, by George! AbleNet Editions
“Promoting talking in the classroom is key to developing language and thinking. The Big Books by George! Materials have prompts/questions built into the books so there’s always opportunity for discussion before, during, and after reading. The teacher is reminded to keep children talking so they can stay actively involved with the text throughout the entire lesson. It’s like built-in professional development!”
Debra Crouch, Literacy Consultant - San Diego, CA

MEville to WEville

MEville to WEville
“A few years ago, I was introduced to MEville to WEville, a beginning literacy program for students with significant disabilities from AbleNet. I was instantly a fan since it was the first program of its kind; based on research, it offered students with multiple physical and cognitive disabilities the opportunity to participate in systematic literacy instruction. MEville to WEville teaches reading, writing, listening, speaking, and for students with communication disorders, using augmentative communication within the context of its well designed curriculum.”
–Margaret Kardos, MS, OTR/L, ATP - Editor, ConnSENSE Bulletin

 Equals

Equals Mathematics Program
“I love the Equals Math Curriculum! I started using it at the beginning of the school year with two lower level students and have been adding my other students throughout the year. We do quite a bit of it on our SmartBoard and the rest at a table with the tools and manipulatives. The worksheets are also printed and completed with an aide to help reinforce the concepts. It’s great. We also use the AbleNet Weekly Reader in the same way and love it just as much!”
-Brook Wisconsin 2011”
