Splash simplifies summer learning for both teachers and students by offering a flexible and all-inclusive program that makes it easy to fulfill academic maintenance needs for all students in special education. The program offers engaging age- and ability-appropriate content for: communication, social interaction, reading, math, health, science, and so much more! Each program has been created to bring fresh, relevant content to students, with a range of weekly topics specially selected for summer.
Package Includes:
  • 4- or 6-week Curricular Program
  • Student Workbooks
  • Pre-Post Assessments
  • Teacher's Guide and Reproducibles
  • Weekly Teacher's Guide and Reproducibles

Splash Program Features:
Splash is designed as an all-in-one program to ensure that everyone is provided a high quality summer education experience. All of the activities and lesson plans can be completed with materials from the package or already found in the classroom—no additional resources necessary! 4- or 6-Week Curricular Programs are created with a range of mix-and-match weekly topics carefully selected to engage students at each grade level. Teachers can choose a topic at any week during the program, knowing that each week will systematically cover communication, social interaction, reading, math, health, and science skills. Student Workbooks have been uniquely developed with content adapted to three levels (L1, L2, and L3) to make a single unit accessible for all students with disabilities—no need for multiple books! Splash workbooks enable teachers to meet individual student needs while keeping learning cohesive in the classroom.

Additional Student Workbook features include:
  • Adapted literacy
  • 21st century picture symbol supports
  • Worksheets for comprehension, vocabulary, writing, math, science, social studies,
    health, etc.
  • Community-based instruction activities
  • Learning Stations and Games

Pre- and Post-Assessments provide a quick view to student performance from the beginning to the end of the extended school program, while minimizing administration time. Teacher’s Guide for each grade level contains detailed directions and reproducibles for over 40 games and activities to use in your classroom all year long along with the additional materials necessary to play. Weekly Teacher’s Guides for every topic in each grade level contain an easy-to-follow Weekly Planner, Vocabulary Cards, and 2-3 Learning Stations with Reproducibles created specifically for that week’s topic. The Weekly Planner outlines complete lesson plans for each day of the week, so planning and preparation for each topic is already done! Twelve color-printed vocabulary cards are included for each topic: 6 with pictures and 6 word-only to meet differing student needs. Original Learning Stations with stunning Reproducibles printed in color have been designed for each topic to make content fun for students. Splash materials ensure that even teachers unfamiliar with the students they will be working with can provide a quality educational program.

Splash Program Benefits:
Teachers will enjoy the ease and flexibility of the program to teach what makes sense, without a lot of administrative time spent on training staff or gathering materials for the program. Students will enjoy interesting and engaging content tied to fun summer activities. They'll be maintaining their skills from the school year and having a great time! Parents will enjoy the take-home materials each week. They will see what is being worked on and experience again their child's excitement for learning!
Here's What People are Saying About Splash...
"The Splash materials are really well liked by both the teachers and students. The use of the Splash demo CD with the Smart Board has proven to be a great tool. The teachers use it to do a whole group read-a-loud before breaking the students into smaller groups based on ability levels. Another winner from AbleNet!"
