Bridge to Budget

Committing to the best Special Education curriculum and Assistive Technology tools does not mean waiting for the next budget cycle. Do you want new technology in place for summer programs? Do you want to get your special education teachers up to speed on the newest curriculum before the next school year?

With AbleNet and Advance Acceptance, we can offer flexible options for the purchase of curriculum and AT tools for your classroom, school, or district.

Ensuring your district has the resources necessary to acquire the latest curricular programs, classroom-ready technology, and/or on-going professional development necessary to achieve measurable student progress in your special education programs can be a challenge. We understand. AbleNet has heard the many challenges facing the budget crunch within special education and has developed a relationship with Advance Acceptance to help school districts with budget timing, budget limitations, district-wide purchases, and ongoing ad hoc requirements.

School districts choose flexible leasing options from AbleNet and Advance Acceptance in order to:

Manage Budget and Cash Flow
Deferred payment structures are available for non-school functioning months or budget restrictions. 100% financing, no down payment, with service/maintenance included.

Maximize Purchase of Products Needed
Leasing lowers the payment and allows your district to purchase what is needed without having to sacrifice certain choices as a result of budget limitations.

Conserve Capital
Utilize existing borrowing lines for more immediate needs and free up working capital for other uses.

Protect Against Obsolescence
Add additional curricular programs, technology solutions, and/or support services when technology makes them available any time during the term.

Provide Accounting Options
Often, a technology lease can be structured as an Operating Lease, allowing "off balance sheet" treatment, preserving debt ratios, and often eliminating the need for traditional capital request.

Medicaid is a Federal-State health insurance program that is jointly-funded to provide assistance for eligible low-income people. Some states have waivers which allow Medicaid coverage for families at higher income levels when they have a child with a disability. The Federal government provides national guidelines and each of the States establishes its own eligibility standards, defines the type, amount, duration, and scope of services, establishes the rate of payment for services, and administers its own program (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, 2002).
