In this session, participants explored the fundamentals of delivering speech and language therapy online. They examined technological requirements, best practices for virtual sessions, and strategies for client engagement. Practical resources like teletherapy platforms and tools were discussed, along with methods to maintain client progress and address challenges.

Presenter Biography: Jessica received her Master’s (2013) and Undergraduate (2011) degrees from Kean University. Jessica has a diverse background in early intervention, school-based services, and sub-acute rehab. She is a firm believer in the power of high quality, evidence-based therapy for in-person and teletherapy service delivery methods for students and their families. Jessica is licensed and has worked in several states across the US including PA, CA, FL, AK, HI, and WY. Jessica prioritizes cultural sensitivity and strives to incorporate relevant approaches into her therapeutic practices. Jessica has presented on several topics including advocacy for the SLP, teletherapy strategies, college hearing screenings, and narratives of children with Auditory Processing Disorders. When not working, Jessica can be found exploring her current residential state of Hawaii with her husband as a travel content creator.
