How do you share or export a board?
Select “Edit Mode” and then choose the board that you would like to share. Choose “Export Board” and then choose either AirDrop or Email option.
Can linked boards be shared or exported?
In order to export linked boards, you will need to export each board starting with the last board that is linked. Then you must manually link the boards together once they have been imported.
How many cells can be on one page?
You can have up 20 cells (pictures) on each page.
Why can’t I get the right arrow option to appear in color so I can progress to another cell?
The right arrow does not appear in color because there is missing information in one of the following fields:
- message name
- recorded message
Why does the board I’m trying to setup get erased?
It may not have been saved correctly. If you do not press the right arrow at the main board screen the information you’ve entered will not be saved.
Also, if you press the left arrow at the main board screen, this acts as a "back" button, causing your information to be lost. We recommend always tapping on the right arrow to save and exit editing your board.
Can you use switches with SoundingBoard?
SoundingBoard has In-App Switch Access (configured in the SoundingBoard settings) and can also be used with iOS Switch Control.
Why is there no sound on a message cell?
Check that the sound on your iPad is turned up. If you need louder volume than what the iPad can produce, we recommend connecting external speakers, either via headphone jack or Bluetooth wireless.
Why is the microphone not recording?
When first creating a new Custom Board, there will be a prompt for you to enable access for SoundingBoard to use your microphone. If you miss this prompt or choose “Do Not Allow”, then you will not be able to record messages in the app.
If you would like to make changes to this privacy feature to enable the Microphone, you will want to do the following:
- Tap on “Settings” app
- Tap on “Privacy"
- Tap on "Microphone"
- Here you should see "SoundingBoard". Tap the circular icon next to it to turn this on (it should now be green.)
